Allison Lesko of New Horizons Dental Care is named
Crown Council “Young Dentist of the Year.”
The New Horizons Dental Care team traveled to Phoenix, Arizona for a National Dental Convention called Crown Council. On Saturday, February 6th, during the Awards Celebration, Dr. Allison Lesko was announced as the National “Young Dentist of the Year.” In preparation for the event, dental offices from around the country nominate and vote for who they think is most deserving in various categories. Dr. Lesko was among 6 finalists out of thousands across the nation and won due to the huge differences she’s made at New Horizons Dental Care in just two short years. Dr. Lesko has improved our scope of service, our range of procedures, and our care of patients.
Dr. Lesko spearheaded an IV sedation program to help provide extremely fearful patients with a way to get their dental care done without letting their dental fear stand in the way. Never before has a general dentist in our city had this sort of resource available for fearful patients. Not only that, but Dr. Lesko has made it possible to keep all of New Horizons’ periodontal grafting patients “in-house,” which means patients no longer have to drive at least an hour away for treatment. Plus, Dr. Lesko is extremely talented with young patients. She has been sedating and using behavior modification techniques to prevent having to refer pediatric patients too! This, again, is a HUGE benefit to our patients and their families because they do not have to travel or go to a “stranger” for their care.
Not only has she implemented meaningful systems and added valuable services for our patients, but she has boosted the office morale by her spunk and positivity. We all feel blessed to have such a dynamo of a dentist and a lady with so much moxie in our midst. Congratulations, Dr. Allison Lesko, for winning this prestigious award!
