Dr. Jay Bhakta is proud to return to Kansas and serve the Salina community as part of the team at New Horizons Dental Care. After spending the past several years practicing dentistry in Texas, Dr. Jay and his family are grateful to be back in Salina with the newest addition to their family and look forward to becoming part of the community once again.
Originally from Kansas, Dr. Jay is known for his calm, compassionate approach to patient care. He believes every patient deserves to feel comfortable, heard, and treated like family. His laidback demeanor and focus on clear communication help even the most anxious patients feel at ease during their dental visits. He believes trust, communication, and personalized care are the foundation of excellent dentistry.
Dr. Jay received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2021 and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Wichita State University. His advanced clinical training provided extensive experience in comprehensive dental care, surgical procedures, and advanced treatment planning alongside some of the region’s top dental specialists.
Dedicated to lifelong learning and providing modern, high-quality care, Dr. Jay enjoys helping patients improve both their oral health and confidence through personalized treatment tailored to each individual’s needs to create healthy, lasting smiles.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jay enjoys cooking a variety of cuisines, exploring walking trails, collecting retro Pokémon memorabilia, and spending time with his wife, son, and loved ones.
