Lisa is responsible for a myriad of tasks; she updates medical histories, takes x-rays, interviews patients, does oral cancer screenings, creates treatment plans, takes gum measurements, educates patients on needed treatment and good homecare, transfers information to the doctors and the front office, and schedule follow-up appointments. “Dental hygiene is my passion!”
Lisa grew up in Valley Center, and now lives in Salina, KS. She holds an Associate’s degree in Science from Butler County Community College, and Associate’s and Bachelor's degrees in Science in Dental Hygiene from Wichita State University. She also holds BLS certification and gets at least 30+ Continuing Education credits every 2 years. “I had orthodontics as a teenager, and became interested in dentistry due to that,” she says. “I chose dental hygiene as a career due to the schooling, hours, pay, and the one-on-one with patients – plus I get to help people. I love making a difference!”
When she’s not indulging her passion at work, Lisa can be found with her husband, Zach, and their children, Clayton, Zoey, and Shanice. The family participates in 4H, and Lisa is involved in KMOM, Smiles For Life, Give Kids a Smile, and Special Olympics. Lisa would like to take the family travelling someday – probably to Ireland or Sweden.
